LEE STANBERRY

Understudy for "Doub"

Mr. Stansberry is a veteran stage actor of over 25 years performing in the U.S. and abroad. Some of his works include Walter Lee in “A Raisin in the Sun”, Peterson in “A Soldiers Play," Ice in “Short Eyes”, Val in “Split Second,” Knobby Coles in “Get Ready” and Sterling in “Two Trains Running” all in the Ensemble Theatre in Houston, Texas. Lee has performed in London, England at The Shaw Theatre and The Hackney Empire performing in the national touring company of "The Diary of Blackmen" as The Player.

Presently Lee, is in the national touring company of “Camp Logan” a true story about the Buffalo Soldiers and The Houston Riots during WWI. Lee has a B.A. degree in theatre from Prairie View A&M University and is going into his third year of law school this spring. He is also a substitute teacher in the LAUSD. Lee was member of the cast of The Diary of Blackmen in 1987 when it won the NAACP award for best play and Camp Logan in 1995 when it won the award. He is looking forward to working with the production company of The Maceba Group again and this company of actors. Peace.
